Happy New Year!

With all the Christmas and New Year festivities behind us, I suppose it's back to the grind!

We had a lovely holiday. My mom came up to visit the day after Christmas and we enjoyed having her here. Then we went downtown to stay with her at a condo she rented for a couple days to celebrate First Night at Temple Square. There were concerts being played in both the Joseph Smith Memorial Building and the Assembly Hall. We watched some concert pianists play and a soprano sing at the Assembly Hall, then we headed over to the JMMB to get some hot chocolate and see what was going on there. This guy played the Accordian for us and that was pretty cool. And, then we listed to an LDS folk singer and he was pretty good too. But, we were bums and went back to the condo by 10 p.m. and fell asleep, only to awake to some loud booms - it must've been the midnight fireworks at the Gallivan center.

Other than that, we pretty much had a relaxing week and I was ready to start working again until about an hour ago the snow started falling. Argh. . . This guy in our ward bore his testimony. He moved from Florida almost 2 years ago. This is his second winter here. He said last year the snow was a novelty and it was fun and this year, he's already tired of it! Diddo!
